Fine wine is an art. This is the inspiration behind RIPE, a wine show about art tasting, coming to Crewest.

As an art gallery exhibition, RIPE will transform wine barrels, wine bottles and even wine corks into cutting-edge contemporary art created by some of today’s most exciting urban and graffiti artists. These and other exciting contemporary artists will paint, draw and/or sculpt their unique creative vision onto used wine barrels, bottles and corks, transforming them into one-of-a-kind pieces of art available for purchase.

Wine Tasting Info:
Wineries and wine companies participating in this first-of-its-kind art exhibit include Plata Wine in Paso Robles, CA., Washington State based Charles Smith Wines, Sonoma, CA based wine barrel restoration experts ReCoop and Napa, CA based wine cork manufacturer M.A. Silva Corks USA.

STREET PICS BY SAHL

For those of you who grew up in LA in the early 90's
Sahl was the hidden moniker you spotted at the bus stop,
on street poles, in alley ways, and almost every other
conceivable landmark that could be written on if you looked
closely. His talent for catching the right spot that would
never get buffed was remarkable.

Nowadays he's put away the meanstreak and pulled out the
camera. Still relying on his eye for getting up, he is
flicking the City of Angels as he walks it and as he sees it.

He's been capturing some amazing shots that only a true
writer can discover and sharing them with us all.

Sahl's photography will be on exhibit during this month's show:
THINGS THAT GET BUFFED...

Look for more work by Sahl in the future.
